CD: HOMEWARD
Glenn’s relationship with producer “Georgie Fab” began in 2002 when he “nailed” the sax solo for Dan Clancy’s “Pearly Gates of Heaven”. Georgie (not his real name) persuaded Glenn to record his CD “Homeward” at his studio. Glenn used top-flight jazz musicians including Frank DiFelice (drums), Dave Field (Bass), Richard Whitehouse (piano), Geoff Quinn (keyboards, strings), John Marmora (organ), and a brilliant arranger, Tim Johns. Consistency is evident in the performance, the energy and, most of all, the specific individual style, of each tune.
Since its release, the album “Homeward” is already being talked about as a Juno Award Nominee for 2004. It consists of six original songs and five cover tunes. A variety of jazz, latin, soul and swing melodies make up his repertoire, including his original “Homeward” (writers: Ranger, Higgins).
Glenn has made a commitment, with his sterling band, to give his audience the best performance possible in his future national and international tours.
This work deserves considerable credit for Glenn Higgins not afraid to follow his own muse.
